Puzzling Murder in Benque

Benque Viejo is not a hotspot for violent crime and when they do see a murder it’s usually a spillover from the Guatemalan side. And that’s why police are puzzling over a body of a Benqueno that was found yesterday morning on the roadside in a pool of blood. It was found on a feeder road near the southern end of the town and later identified as 34 year old Felix Enriquez Martinez.

Police believe they know what may have led to his death as an investigation shows that he was last seen around 7:00 on Monday evening, fighting with another man. Police haven’t gotten an ID for that man and have not made any arrests.
