San Ignacio Police told 7News that they had expected a breakthrough in a major burglary and robbery that occurred at the Chuc’s Service Station early Monday morning and true to their word today two persons have been arrested. All along the police suspected that the robbery was an inside job and tonight that is confirmed: one of the accused worked at the gas station as one of the security guards.

He has been identified as thirty one year old Raul Gonzales a resident of a Cedar Street address in the Santiago Juan Layout area. Gonzales has been charged for the crime of conspiracy to commit robbery. Raul Gonzales was not the watchman whose hands and feet were tied up by the robbers around one on Monday morning when thieves broke into the service station on the Bullet Tree Road.

And while police suspect that Raul Gonzales conspired, the second man arrested twenty three year old Jovian Urbina is one of the two persons police strongly believe stole the money. Jovian Urbina has been charged with two counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. According to San Ignacio Police a third person is being sought.
