A 60 year old Salvadoran man has been charged for doing the unthinkable, having sex with his 14 year old daughter. It allegedly happened some time in April of 2008 in Scotland Halfmoon Village. In the presence of social workers, the girl told police that it was on numerous occasions dating back to when she was just 11 years old. Magistrate Tracy Sosa remanded the 60 year old to prison until September 22nd.

Milton Reyes Jailed for Rape

35 year old Milton Reyes, a farmer from Maskall Village, is in jail tonight for allegedly raping his ex-common law wife. The 31 year old victim told police that at 4:30 on Friday morning, Reyes knocked on her door and told her he wanted to see her. She opened the door and that is when she claimed Reyes attacked her. There was a struggle during which she was scratched on the face and then raped. Reyes was charged with a single count of rape.

The police prosecutor objected to bail because of the seriousness of the charge and also because Reyes lives in the same village as the complainant. Magistrate Kathleen Lewis remanded Milton Reyes to the Hattieville Prison until September 18th.

And before he was taken to jail, Milton Reyes was taken to the family court where he was charged with breach of a protection order. It turns out that when he knocked on the complainant’s door on Friday morning – and that single act was enough to breach the protection order.

Granny Busted with Gun Walks Free

On Friday we told you about a 76 year old woman from Biscayne village who was being held pending charges for possession of a deadly weapon – namely an AR-15 assault rifle. Well, the news tonight is that she was not charged after all, but her nephew, 29 year old Jamil Flowers was. Seen here on the left side of the screen he was today charged with keeping a firearm and ammunition without a gun license.

He pleaded not guilty but because it is a gun offence, bail cannot be offered and he was remanded. His aunt, Olive Dawson who owns the house and had just returned from her residence in the United States to attend a funeral was not charged after her attorney Dickie Bradley interceded with police to explain that while the gun was found in an attic, she was in a different area of the building.
