Emelia Horne and Daughter Released from Jail

Almost two weeks after they were arrested and jailed after a gun was found at their home, 38 year old Emelia Horne and her 17 year old daughter have been released from jail. The charges against her 19 year old son Jerry Horne and her nephew 19 year old Sherman Rodney will however stick for the.25 pistol and the four rounds of.25 calibre ammunition seized when police searched the family’s home on Gentle Avenue on August 14th.

Magistrate Edd Usher dismissed the charges against Emelia Horne and her daughter on instruction from the Director of Public Prosecutions. Her son Jerry Horne and nephew Sherman Rodney were denied bail and remanded to prison until September 14th.
