Deon Ortiz Wants to Be Mr. Belize

Belize’s best bodies will be competing for top prizes in the Mr. Belize and Miss Fitness Competition on Friday night at the Bliss Center. The men will be competing in the junior, masters, and Mr. Belize categories while the women will compete in the body figure and bikini competitions. One man who feels he stands a chance at winning is 21 year old Deon Ortiz. He is 5’11 and 182 pounds of pure muscle which he hopes will add up to a win. This evening we spoke to Ortiz along with his trainer and veteran bodybuilder Joseph McClaren.

Friday’s show starts at 7:30 and again it is at the Bliss. The winners of Friday’s competition will represent Belize in the Central American Championships scheduled for November.
