On Friday, San Ignacio resident Vanessa Molina vehemently denied that her common law husband, Bernard Anderson had anything to do with an armed hold-up and robbery at Anthony’s Supermarket on the Western Highway. Molina also was upset that her husband had reportedly been badly beaten by police when he was being taken over to the station for questioning. Well, it seems she was right; today Cayo Police told 7News that Bernard Anderson has been released and an internal investigation has been launched into the allegations made by Anderson and his family that four policemen viciously beat him.
So, who committed the robbery? Well police say based on a report made by one of the store victims, it has led them to arrest Santa Elena resident Albert Welcome and brothers Delwayne and Donovan Casildo of Esperanza Village. The three have been charged for the crimes of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The Casildo’s are the younger siblings of a very notorious pair of brothers, Gregory Casildo and Mark T-Dog Stuart. Casildo was killed by police in 2008 and T-Dog by prison security in 2003. Now, the Casildo family says that the accusation is false and based on their last name. They fear that these two Casildo’s will also be killed by police.
