Five young men have been charged for last week’s murder of 21 year old Randy Coye inside the Lord’s Ridge Cemetery. This morning in court and under heavy security, 27 year old Edwin “drive” Flowers was charged for abetment to commit.
23 year old Brandon Smith, 20 year old Kenroy Humes, and 21 year old Leon Gray were all charged with murder. Smith, Humes, and Gray along with 23 year old DeShawn Mena were charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Bail was denied to all five and they were remanded to the Hattieville Prison until November 10th.
Randy Coye’s decomposing body was found in the cemetery on Monday morning. A post mortem revealed that Coye was shot multiple times in his head and back. No motive is apparent but Randy Coye’s family suspects that the real target was his older brother Richard Russell who had survived multiple attempts on his life.
