A 16 year old first form high school student was today charged for attempted murder. He is the man – or as it has turned out to be the boy who shot Jason Cain on Tuesday evening.

Cain, as we reported, had just parked his white ford escort with taxi plates in front of his home Cairo Street when he was ambushed by a gunman on a bike. The gunman opened fire and Cain was hit in his chest and leg. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted in serious condition. Today his sixteen year old attacker was charged in Family Court with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. He was remanded to the Boot Camp until October 19th.

Cain meanwhile is still hospitalized but showing encouraging signs of improvement. He has been taken off a respirator and is now breathing on his own. His condition is now listed as critical but stable.
