And while one man has gotten off a murder charge, two men were today convicted of murder. 21 year old Ryan Herrera and 21 year old Linsdale Franklin charged with the murder of 20 year old female Cruz Sho were found guilty today by a jury of 6 women and 6 men. It happened in the court of Justice Michelle Arana where the jury deliberated for 4 hours before coming up with the unanimous verdict. He will be sentenced on December 10th.

Now anyone who follows the news will know that convictions for murder are quite rare. And we’ll tell you why this prosecution was successful. The key witness was Erwin Franklin a relative of one of the accused, Linsdale Franklin. He was originally charged along with Franklin and Herrera but agreed to testify against them if the charges against him were dropped.

That’s what happened and he told the court that he saw both men rape Sho and testified that after Ryan Herrerra was finished Linsdale Franklin told him to kill her. Herrerra obliged by getting a knife and fork and cut Sho’s throat and stabbed her in the abdomen. Both men gave statements form dock, denying his account. But the jury believed Erwin Franklin and convicted the pair. The will be sentenced next week Thursday.
