Vaughn Gill Charged for Drug Possession

PUP talk show host Vaughn Gill was today charged in the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court for drug possession. Police say that when they searched Gill on Friday in Belmopan they found 18 grams of marijuana on him. He appeared this morning in Belmopan’s Magistrate Court where he was arraigned on the single count of drug possession. Gill pleaded not guilty and he was offered and met bail of one thousand dollars. He is due back in court on February 3rd 2010.

This morning on PUP radio station Vibes Radio – Gill’s co-hosts and his wife asserted that the drugs were planted on him and it is another in a string of politically motivated legal harassments police have targeted him with.
