Yesterday in our newscast we reported on a 28 year old pregnant woman who was stabbed in her stomach by her 21 year old ex boyfriend.
She is in the hospital recovering, but her baby didn't survive the attack. An emergency surgery was conducted by doctors at the KHMH - but was unsuccessful. According to doctors - they cannot determine the extent of the damage caused -due to the fact that the fetus was too small.
The stabbing happened around two on Monday morning. Valerie Sheran was at her home on Neals Penn Road - when her ex boyfriend Henry Patnett -who is the father of her unborn child - entered her house and saw her lying in bed with her new boyfriend - 70 year old Ernesto Ireland. Patnett then proceeded towards her and stabbed her once to her stomach. Ireland, who is the new boyfriend tried to stop Patnett and that was when he too was stabbed to his hand. Police are still looking for 21 year old Henry Patnett.
