"On Monday when my babysitter went to my work about 3 O' clock, at that time she left my son with my husband, when she arrived at my work she told me that my son had burns. I questioned her and she told me that it was something small and there is nothing that I should worry about. I insisted to find out what happened, she says she used the iron accidentally left it on, and my son went to interfere with it. She also told me that my son fell off the bed and hurt his head. I was busy at work and so she waited with me until 7 pm when I left work. Upon arrival at my house I was extremely upset with the burns on my son's leg; it was then that I told her that this is not an accident at all. Both of his eyes had bruises. It

was then that I called a taxi and took him to the hospital. She insists to go along with me to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital then the doctor attended to my child, the nurse asked me what has happened. I told her that the babysitter told me that it was an accident with the iron. The doctor observed the burns on my baby, when he lifted up my baby's shirt it was then that I saw more burns on his back. The doctor then calls the police. When she heard that the doctor had called the police, she left and did not wait for me at the hospital."

"Now when the police arrive what happened?"

Voice of Crispula Lisbey, Via Telephone
"When the police arrived they saw the burns on my baby. I told them that the woman had just left. So the police went after her to try to find her but they didn't."

The injuries have been classified as harm.

According to Lisbey she received a call from Moody today - telling her she is being accused wrongfully since she did not cause those injuries to the 2 year old child. She also said it was her 2 year old child that caused the injuries. Tonight, Melanie Moody is not detained by San Ignacio police.
