On last night's newscast we reported on a San Ignacio babysitter who is being accused of abusing a 2 year old child. In a telephone interview with 7News, the child's mother, Crispula Lisbey told us that on Monday she left her baby in the care of 34 year old Melanie Moody. She said around 3 o'clock that evening Moody came to her workplace informing her that her son had been burned by the iron.
But when Lisbey got home that evening she noticed that her child had burns all over his body along with a number of bruises to the face.
Moody told her that her baby was burnt by iron she left on accidentally and the 2 year old child had also fallen off a bed and hurt his head.
Since then Melanie Moody has gone missing and she is wanted by the San Ignacio police. Yesterday Lisbey told 7 News, she received a call from Moody - telling her she is being accused wrongfully since she did not cause those injuries to the 2 year old child.
