We've been reporting on the story of Valerie Sheran - the 27 year old pregnant woman who was stabbed once to her stomach allegedly by her jealous baby's father. Sheran was seven months pregnant and she lost her baby. The man accused of this vicious act is her ex boyfriend 21 year old Henry Patnett.
In an interview with 7 News this week, Sheran told us she was scared for her life since she had been receiving threats from Patnett - who had not been arrested. Well, Patnett turned himself in to police and was charged with attempted murder - along with 4 other charges. He has been remanded into custody.
You might think the story ends here - well not so - since Patnett's sister came to our studios this morning to give her brother's side of what may have been the cause of last week's stabbing.
In an interview she told us there are some things she needs to set straight. She asked us to conceal her identity.

"I come out of my work to go with him when he appeared for the same court case against her. She helped him breach that protected order that they gave to her. Now with this incident that just happened, I don't know where to start on that. Before this thing happened she went to my work on a Friday, my brother and she were together. According to her they broke up, that is false. They went together, they were expecting their baby together, my brother said that he went to sleep with her one night and the other night when he went there because it's her mom house, he has to go there when he could, and he didn't know that she was with somebody. She told him that the old guy is supposed to be the children's grandfather; he didn't feel any way towards that. He said that when he went in the house, he found 2 of them nude in the bed asleep. Now I don't know what kind of mother is that."
The incident happened in the early morning of August 2nd at the home of Valerie Sheran.
