It's the new trend stealing those LiFan motorcycles; in the past few months we've reported on six such thefts. And now there's another - except this time the thief didn't get away.
On Sunday, Leroy Lorriano was alerted by his neighbors that a man had stolen his Lifan motorcycle. Lorriano with the assistance of his neighbors pursued the man, caught and subdued him until the police arrived. The motorcycle valued at two thousand, five hundred dollars - and the property of his employer - was recovered.
Today, the man who was caught, Twenty three year old Lionel Hamilton, an unemployed of 13 Hunter's Lane was charged with theft when he appeared today in Magistrate's Court. Hamilton pleaded not guilty. He was offered a bail of one thousand five hundred dollars and his case was adjourned until February 25.
