24 yar old Gumercindo Meza Jr. is in police custody tonight accused of killing his father, 60 year old Gumercindo Sr. The 15 year old son and brother of the two told police that he left the family home in the Dominguez Layout, Corozal Town where Senior and Junior were socializing. But the teenager said when he got back home, he found the door opened and his father lying motionless on the floor.
Police confirmed that Gumercindo Sr. had a single stab wound to the abdomen. Police also reportedly found a ten inch kitchen knife.
Gumercindo Jr. is being held pending charges but according to information, he is not cooperating with police.
