Last week we told you about 23 year old mother Elizabeth Martinez who was stabbed in the chest.
Well today, the woman accused of doing it, 22 year old Stasha Lopez, a domestic worker from Aloe Vera Street, was charged with dangerous harm when she appeared in the Magistrate's Court.
Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser explained to Lopez that she will not take a plea because the offence is indictable. The prosecution had objected to bail on the ground that Martinez is still critical at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. But Magistrate Fraser offered her bail of six thousand dollars after she was informed that Martinez was discharged from the hospital yesterday. Lopez met bail. She is to return to court on April 18th.
The stabbing occurred on Thursday February 17th. According to reports, Martinez was stabbed in her chest by Lopez after they had a misunderstanding over a flash drive.
Lopez, however, has denied that she and Martinez had a misunderstanding over a flash drive or over a baby as another report has stated. Lopez has declined to say what the misunderstanding was about.
