There has been another evening murder in the city. This one happened just over an hour ago in Lindo's Alley, which is off Vernon Street.
At 5:10 four shots were heard in the area; 19 year old Phillip Swift had been shot to the head.
It happened right in front of his home at #2 Lindo's Alley - which means that his family was the first to see it. A civilian with a camera who was in the area captured that shocking, devastating moment of discovering that your loved one had just been killed - here's what that terrible moment was like:
According to those in the area, Swift was walking his dog when a gunman came up and delivered the kill shot. He died on the spot with the dog's chain still in his hands.
For his family, it is of course a stunning loss, and another beastly daylight street murder - coming on the hells of one on Kraal Road exactly 13 days ago which occurred at about the same time of day.
