By now we should all know that the councilor we call "Philloughby" is running for mayor. And you should know that first, because we've reported it on this newscast and second, because, don't you see those matching shirts and tiioes he's wearing? The man wants to look Mayoral!
And he'll have to because the other man offering himself for that post uses ties to go to work every day. Attorney Darrell Bradley has made it official, he will offer himself for mayor on the UDP slate.
And although leaving his job as a lawyer would mean a significant pay cut if he were to be elected mayor, the clean-cut 31 year old told us that he aspires to a career of public service.
Still though that is a ways off. He has to beat a nationally known candidate in the convention and if he does manage that, he then has to face an electorate that may to some extent be suffering from UDP fatigue after electing a UDP council for two successive terms. We'll see how it goes.
