Armed Robbery In The North

There was a daring armed robbery of a business in Corozal.

Pay Day Advance Pawn Shop - located on North Park Street in Corozal Town was held up at gunpoint and robbed yesterday around midday. According to the sales clerk - Yesenia Marin- while returning from her lunch break and approaching the main door of the business, she was approached by a man who put a gun to her side and demanded that she open the door.

Marin complied and upon entering the building a second man entered and ordered her to lie on the floor where they strapped duct tape around her legs, hands and mouth. She managed to remove the tape from her mouth and called the police. The two men took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and assorted gold jewelries.
