The incident occurred around 2 P.M. on Tuesday, May 10th in Isabella Bank. Police constable Norman Anthony reported that he received a call that the occupants of a Van were stealing sheep and when he arrived on the scene, the van drove off. Anthony said he pursued the van and fired several shots, but the driver refused to stop. Anthony said he caught up with the van in a school yard in Maypen, and Smith who was the driver got out and pointed a pistol at him. Anthony said he took cover, and Smith and the others then ran into the bushes. The men were later apprehended at Scotland Halfmoon village with the assistance of Ladyville police.
