A portion of the usually quiet residential neighborhood of West Landivar was spun into a panic at around noon today when gunmen tried to rob a popular neighborhood store. They were brandishing weapons in the street after a robbery. We were on the scene shortly after:

Jules Vasquez Reporting:

A trail of coins marked the path left by a trio of robbers as they escaped from Eric Store on Bachelor Avenue in the University Drive area.

The shopkeeper also ran out the store and these slippers may be his.

While there's no telling who the bike is for - but witnesses told us that the policeman who responded from the nearby sub-station ran off when he saw the gunmen

Shanique Tucker- lives in an apartment nearby

"First, we were coming, walking up the street, and when we reached there, we saw about 3 guys walking up to the chiney with like hoodies over them. And when we reached our apartment by Bachelor's Inn, we heard a lot of noise and we came out - we ran out - and we saw guns pointing. The guys were pointing guns. And then she came and they pointed the gun at her. So that's basically what we saw, and we ran and we locked ourselves up in our apartment."

Jules Vasquez
"How did all this money end up on the ground?"

Shanique Tucker
"They were - I guess they went inside the store, and they went in the cash pan, but when the police came, they ran and left the money behind, because they were running and they were pointing guns at the police, and at the witnesses, because we were the witnesses. We thought someone got shot, because we saw the guns pointing."

But no one was shot.

Police reviewed the security camera footage to see if any of the three suspects looked familiar.

When we left, they were reportedly looking for a white car.

After reviewing the tape, police had named suspects, but no one has been arrested...
