In late August of last year we reported on the Rash Children -11 year old Benjamin and 9 year old Onelia Rash - who went missing after they were last seen near Cattle Landing Village, just outside Punta Gorda Town. Though public outrage were stirred and all sort of search efforts proceeded, the pair were never found - and their disappearance endures as a most disturbing, unsolved mystery.
And tonight, almost a year later, there is another disturbing report of another missing minor just a few miles away from where the Rash children were last spotted.
According to police, 12 year old Ashley Janixta Perez, also known as Jackie was reported missing by her foster mother, Veronica Grant - last Thursday between 11:30 am and 12 midday.
Grant told police she and her daughter was at her farm in Emery Grove Village on the Machaca Road - when her daughter Ashley rode off on a small pink beach cruiser bicycle and has not been seen or heard from again.
12 year old Ashley Perez is about 5 foot one inch tall; petite, and is of brown complexion with short black hair and weighs about 80 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and a brownish greyish three quarter pants. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the girl is asked to contact the nearest police station or contact the hotline at 0-8-0-0-9-2-2-TIPS.
