Constable Mark Roches, a 33 year old Police man who was allegedly caught stealing an Atlas battery from a Lifan motorcycle, was charged with theft when he appeared yesterday in the Magistrate's Court.

Roches pleaded not guilty to the charge. Magistrate Sherigne Rodriquez offered him a bail of five hundred dollars and adjourned his case until January 6. The incident occurred on Sunday November 20.

Police Press Officer Fitzroy Yearwood reported that while he was at Raccoon Street Police Station he saw Roches stealing the battery from a Lifan motorcycle that was parked in the compound. The battery has a value of one hundred and twenty five dollars and it is the property of Rafael Hernandez.

There's no picture of him because when police appear in court to be criminally charged, their force brothers conspire to hide them from the media.
