And getting to those murders, Police report tonight that 39 year old Blas Alvarado, a Honduran Labourer of Silk Grass Village, died from apparent multiple chop wounds to the head. Initial investigations revealed that Alvarado and 45 year old Fidis Martinez, Honduran Labourer also of Silk Grass Village were involved in an altercation where both men pulled out machete and inflicted chop wounds to each other on Friday evening.
Alvarado received multiple chop wounds to the head while Martinez received a stab wound to the chest. Martinez was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he was admitted in a stable condition.
Alvarado, however, was not as fortunate, and after he was transported to the KHMH, he succumbed to his injuries early Saturday morning.
And, officers from the Intermediate southern formation visited Bella Vista village where they found the body of 21 year-old Marlon Alexander Martinez lying on an unnamed street with a cut wound to the chest.
Initial police investigations have so far revealed that Martinez was with 2 other companions at in the village, and they were walking on the street when a grey car drove up and almost hit one of them.
Martinez shouted at the occupants of the car, and 2 men of Bladden Village exited. One of them pulled a knife and stabbed Martinez in the chest, and attempted to attack his companions, who were able to guard against it. They suffered minor injuries, but Martinez died on the spot.
Police have since detained one man in connection with this incident.
