At the top of the News, we told you about the shocking circumstances of Mr. Program's murder - he was stabbed to death, almost as a dare.
It shows how casual violence can be - and how randomly a promising artist's life can be snuffed out.
We've already told you about that crime that ended him - but the other crime is that this artist - who's been making music from the early 2000's had so much more to give.
Today, I spoke to his producer DJ Perf about his "Back to the Program" EP that was set to launch a major comeback:
Mr. Program's life was a continued struggle: the struggle to escape poverty; the struggle to make music people would listen to and buy; and the struggle to maintain.
His loved ones believe that he never got the support he needed.

Martin Alamilla, Father of the deceased
"I told him you're supposed to already be a millionaire man long time but you know in Belize they don't support any singers."
Back in 2015 Mr. Program told Channel 7 why he felt that Belizean artists have it so hard.

Gilbert Alamilla "Mr. Program" - Deceased

"Its a battle with music. We have a lot to do if we really want change that. From the start we don't have any grounded group of people who actually have full interest in doing just this. An industry does not exist full here. I think everybody just tries to do something for an artist, but nothing official and that's why we don't get the type of respect and recognition we should get as Belizean entertainers because of that. I think it takes a lot of work from any artist to first prove themselves and we just hope now, I am talking on my behalf, we hope that with the work we actually put out that people would start to see that hey we should invest in this, we should try to push it."
And that's just what Program and his producer DJ perf were trying to do. It was a comeback in the works, one about which Perf says he wanted so badly to get right.

"Well, we just released the first single like a month ago. So it took us almost two years to release the first one. He wanted to release them a long time ago but I kept trying to get everything in order because a lot of artists here don't have everything in order. But on a personal level mein like two weeks ago I was working on the Belize song the stay strong song and he was on it and I went to City and I had a studio session where I had different artists come in and he came in and he was mein I am humble to be a part of this. The project was a paid project where everybody got paid, so when I told him that I am paying him, like he didnt believe it. He was like no bro like you dent have to pay me. I'm like the whole idea of this project is not only to give hope to Belizeans but also to help the artist as well to survive through this as well. It's a tough loss mein because a lot of people gave up on him after a while and he was just starting to get back in his groove again to get the second chance to show people who he is. So it's a tough loss for the local industry because you know it's growing and to see someone who many people looked up to just go like that, it's a tough loss."
And as the nation mourns Mr. Program his friends and fellow artists are aware that more has to be done for Belizean musicians trying to make their way.

"We need more unity in the music, we need, the artists they need to come together and start bombarding the right thing meaning if you know this person or that person responsible to help the musician let's get together and come together."
"How will you get recognized if you don't have the proper people behind you If you no have the proper tools Mr. Program struggle out there selling CD's I could say for me for ten years or more."
"I watched that young man go from door to door, people to people, place to place. I believe Mr. Program's break was on the way but it has been taken away."
And while Mr. Program rests, his music is getting another life.

"The EP is basically done, you know, all the songs are ready. It's just that we wanted to plan it properly and make it impactful for a comeback. I've made a pledge to his cousin who was the one I reached out to first that 100% of whatever is made from the EP will be going to his mom and dad, to his family. I also spoke to Kareem Musa a few minutes ago he has pledging to donate as well."
Back To The Program will be available on all streaming services the moment it drops.
