When the UDP was in office, the mantra was, "no sweetheart pass", which meant that no curfew passes would be issued. But, since the PUP came in, they;they've been working with businesses who have to have employees moving at irregular hours outside the 8:00 pm to 5:00 am curfew, so they do issue passes. These are in the form of letters signed by the commissioner of police.

But, how about last night when the commissioner himself was pursued by an officer on motorbike - who, basically, stopped the man who issues the curfew passes and asked him here his "sweetheart pass" was.

The COMPOL fake-joked about it with a voicemail on the internal police blog - this voice note was leaked to us:

We're told the officer in question has been charged before for serious offences in the south, and the Commissioner has indicated that he will deal with him administratively for this infraction.
