We also asked police to discuss last Friday's shooting of 25-year-old William Archilla, a resident of Youth For the Future Drive in Belize City.
Police say that at around 6:58 p.m. that evening, Archilla was standing in front of a home on Ebony Street. A black car pulled up at the Youth for the Future Drive intersection; someone got out, and fired several gunshots at Archilla who was injured to the body, and rushed to the KHMH.
Here's what police had to say about it:
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero - Deputy Head, NCIB
"Police responded to a shooting incident on Ebony Street, upon their arrival, they received information that someone had been taken to the KHMH. They visited the KHMH where they found William Archilla, 25-years-old, with gunshot injuries to the body. He reported that he was standing on Ebony Street when a car came, a person exited and fired shots in his direction, causing the injuries to him. He's now at the KHMH in a stable condition at this time."
Reporter
"Sir, do you all have any information on the origin of this particular shooting?"

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero
"We believe that it is related to gang activity in that area."
Reporter
"Care to give us any further details as to what sort of activity?"
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero
"He is from that area, and he was targeted by persons from another area."
The cops say that Archilla is someone known to them due to past encounters.
