Last week, we told you about the tragic death of 14-year-old Mynor Shamir Itza. He was found dead on New Year's day in a seated position in the bed of his host, 28-year-old Jose Puc.

Itza had received a New Year's Eve phone call which prompted him to break curfew and sneak out of his house to attend a social event at Puc's home. It was at that event that Itza reportedly became too intoxicated to leave. A post mortem found that the died of acute respiratory distress.

And tonight we can report that Puc has been arrested and charged, not in connection with the young man's death but for the offense of hosting a restricted social gathering on the night of the teen's death. We are told that investigations into this matter remain ongoing, and we'll keep following the story.
