The press also asked the General for an update on the investigation into Major Charlton Roches and his company, Belize Jungle Experience.
As viewers will remember, back in late 2017, Roches and Belize Jungle Experience were named in an audit report. It was suggested that Roches should not have been allowed to position his company to get a lucrative 150 thousand dollar contract to train the German Army.
That's because Roches was the BDF-Assigned Liaison Officer for the German jungle training in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Today, the General told the press that the BDF had to hand over the investigation to the police:
Reporter
"Where is that investigation?"
Brig. Gen. Steven Ortega - Commander, BDF
"That investigation is still ongoing by the police department."
Reporter
"Only by police."

Brig. Gen. Steven Ortega - Commander, BDF
"It is ongoing. We started it, and then, we realized that it's best that we hand it over to the police."
