DIGI Store Robbed

Our newsroom has confirmed that there was what looks like a well planned and orchestrated robbery at the Digi outlet on the Philip Goldson Highway.

At around 4:00, the robbers reportedly entered the store wearing Digi uniforms, and posed as employees who were there to pick up the daily funds for deposit, as is the norm in the evenings.

The security guard let them in but there was reportedly a struggle between the robbers and the actual employee, after which the employee ran into Mirab, unhurt.

The robbers then fled the DIGI store, loot in han. There was heavy police presence on the compound earlier this evening. It is unclear at this time how much money was stolen.
