Last night we told you about a particularly dramatic late evening drug bust in Ladyville. We say dramatic because the cops were forced to fire shots in the air to keep one of the perpetrators from escaping.
And tonight, more details are emerging on that bust. As we reported it was carried out at about 3:45 p.m. on Scissors Tail Street by a Special Operation Team. It was there that they observed two men carrying a large black object from an Orange Freightliner truck to a Tan Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV.
At the time the truck was driven by a man known to police as a resident of Patchakan village. He was seen pushing the said object from the Freightliner truck, passenger door.
Once the officers made their move they discovered twenty-seven parcels of cannabis, which weighed in at 63 pounds.
Three persons remain in custody pending charges.
