And while police continue to investigate these weekend murders, their investigation into the double murder of the Frankels continue. As we told you last week, Leticia and Mark Frankel's bodies were found off the John Smith road on Friday after they were reported missing.
Today, Superintendent Cowo gave us an update - including the fact that Mark Frankel had been involved in criminal activity in the past.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
"Police are out in the area and we are questioning several persons to see what information we can get. I know that we had spoken to the family members to try to establish a motive and other things that we need to clear from them."
Reporter
"Was Frankel known to police? We found him in our archives."
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
"I know that they have a report about him in San Pedro, but apart from that, there is nothing else that we can put to him."

Back in 2011, Mark Frankel, who was living on Ambergris Caye at the time, was remanded to Hattieville prison after being charged with two separate incidents. The first was when Frankel and another man broke into a man's house and allegedly beat him up.
In the second incident, Frankel and the same man allegedly held a firearm to an American tourist and forced him to withdraw $500 out of the ATM.
We are told that locally he had a reputation as a loan shark. Reportedly one of the items stolen from his house during the recent murder was a safe.
