There is devastating news tonight for the Jones family in Esperanza village where the burnt remains that were found on a farm in their village last Tuesday have been identified as their loved one.

Peter Jones Jr, a volunteer fireman from the same village, went missing last week Monday. In a Facebook post, his wife, who had recently given birth to their child, had pleaded for him to come home. But the police confirmed that the remains were his.

After a postmortem exam, his cause of death was still undetermined. When we spoke with Jones' father last week, he had already suspected that his son was dead and had asked the public to come forward with any information to help in the investigation.

Jones had been working at the fire station in Santa Elena as a volunteer for about 6 months.
