The 10% cut became all too real for thousands of public officers today when they saw their slashed pay go into their bank accounts this morning.

And, along with that cut - comes the announcement that hours at government offices have been cut back by an hour. So, the new hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and, Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The reduction in 5 work hours per week was a partial compensation for the pay cut offered by government.

Public officers note however that the new hours of work just went into effect while they had been working full hours for the past two weeks for slashed salaries.
