And while the BTV has staunch support for this incident which may have happened in the Colombia Forest Reserve, further down in the Toledo District, a victim of a fatal traffic incident has the support of his fellow villagers after they claim a false account was made to the police concerning his death.

The report claims that around 2:00 yesterday afternoon, 28-year-old James Mossiah Jr was driving a BWS pickup truck when he hit a cyclist in Indian Creek Village. Mossiah told police that the person riding the bicycle was doing so on the right hand side of the highway, going the same direction as him, when he swerved in front of Mossiah. Mossiah said that he tried to avoid the cyclist but the right side of the vehicle hit the bicycle, causing the rider to be flung onto the highway. Mossiah then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer into some bushes on the side of the road.

The victim, Mike Choc, died on the spot.

But eyewitnesses contradict this report, saying that Choc was not riding but standing with his bicycle on the grass at the side of the highway when the vehicle hit him. One eyewitness alleges that the driver of the truck was texting.
