Down and out - but Faber should have seen this one coming from a long way off. John Saldivar and a band of quote merry malcontents had been on a national tour for some weeks - apparently gathering support against Faber's leadership. Faber chose to ignore it at the time - maybe he had no choice - but last night he conceded he was wrong to take them lightly:
Jules Vasquez
"The last time you were here, you portrayed the caucus for change, as a benign group of like traveling wilderness."
Hon. Patrick Faber
"Well, I was wrong, I try as best as I could to believe that they had good intentions but it didn't turn out that way."
Jules Vasquez
"A clique of backstabbers, would you call them that?"
Hon. Patrick Faber
"I said what I had to say already on Friday, you played it up very well in the news. What we need right now is healing."
Jules Vasquez
"But healing is not your style leader, healing is not your style, your style is revenge seeking, your style is exacting."
Hon. Patrick Faber
"I don't know where you get that from."
Jules Vasquez
"I've observed it sir. Sir from my observations."
Hon. Patrick Faber
"Tell me, give me a good example."
Jules Vasquez
"Persons who are not with you are purged, expunged or eliminated from the equation."
Hon. Patrick Faber
"Absolutely not. Quite the contrary, I had tried to embrace folks and what you need to understand that is there is a difference from saying to people you are out versus saying to them give me a little break make we fix things so that we can bring the back the party in the eyes of those who have sent us a loud and clear message."
