And while police in Belize City begin their inquiry into this latest shooting, cops from Orange Walk say that they've made an arrest in connection with the decapitated body of a man that was discovered last week in Honey Camp, Orange Walk.
The victim has since been identified as Rigoberto Orellana Salinas. This morning, investigators arrested and charged 23-year-old Ezequiel Young, a resident of the Orange Walk Village of Santa Marta, with Orellana's murder.
We asked ASP Yearwood about the police's progress in this case:

"Originally, when we reported this incident on June 23, he was listed as John Doe. Since then, this person has been identified as Rigoberto Salinas and we had a person of interest from then and after investigators put down their initial report, it was forwarded to the D.P.P.'s office and since then on today's date, our officers arrested and charged 23 year-old Ezekiel Young of Santa Martha Village for the crime of murder."

"Any insight as to the motive?"

"Not at this time. Like I said from the 23rd until now the officers really put in their pound of flesh to get this investigation to where it is so that we can make an arrest concerning this matter."
