Sharks Don't Bite - Often!

And from Belmopan to San Pedro, over the weekend a tourist was the victim of a shark attack while diving off an area called Tackle Box off Ambergris Caye. The injury was a minor bite to the hand for which the tourist, John Burnette Hollingsworth, was treated. And while it's an uncommon occurrence, it may scare away other tourists. Today we asked the area rep, Andre Perez, about it and he told us that it's unlikely that these attacks will happen more frequently.

The attack was reportedly by a reef shark.
