Last night we told you about the outlandish kidnapping and flogging of 20-year-old butcher Abraham Andres. He was abducted from his workplace, Central Meat Distributors, on Wednesday afternoon by 6 men who pulled up in a pickup and stormed into the place.
They then proceeded to beat him with a thick electrical cable, leaving him looking like a scene out of the Passion of Christ.
Police were quick to make an arrest of a group of men from Shipyard, and tonight we can confirm their names and identities.
Tonight, 5 men and a minor have been arrested and charged in connection with Andres's assault and kidnapping.
They are 41-year-old Johan Petkau, 32-year-old Jacob Petkau, 25-year-old George Petkau, 18-year-old Franz Petkau another Petkau who's only 17 - all form Shipyard, and 18 year old Angel Ayala from August Pine Ridge Village. They have been charged jointly for the crimes of Kidnapping and Wounding with the exception of Ayala who was only charged for kidnapping.
Andres says the men punched, kicked, and whipped him. Police would not discuss the possible motive - only to say it is a dispute between the men.
