And while the circumstances of Joel Aguilar's death remain a mystery - everyone knows what happened to Eder Hall - the Corozal native was executed in broad daylight yesterday morning near the town's main road.
Hall was a well-known figure in Corozal and Chan Chen - where he had escaped death before. Today the commissioner of police said they expect retaliation:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"From what I have been briefed is that yesterday morning, police responded to the information of shots fired and upon arrival, they saw the lifeless body of Eder Hall. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. We believe that his death is drug related, we are looking for a known figure from Corozal in respect to that matter."

"Do you expect retaliation?"
Chester Williams
"Yes, we do anticipate that there's going to be retaliation, Eder Hall is a well-known figure in Corozal, and he do have some followers so we do expect some retaliation and myself and the OC in Corozal have been in dialogue and we're putting things in place to mitigate whatever retaliation that there may have. That arrest came about as a result of police investigation. We did an identification parade and through that the suspect was identified and so he was charged yesterday for murder in respect to Kwame's murder."
Courtney Menzies
"Sir, any motive for why a 24-year-old would want to kill a 14-year-old?"
Chester Williams
"Well at this time from what our investigation is showing that Kwame Williams was not the intended target and again it would appear that the suspect had gone for another individual, but he couldn't find that person, Kwame Williams was walking on the street at the same time, so he just shot him. So that just goes to show the mentality of some of these criminals on our streets, when they cannot find their target, they just turn on anybody just to send a signal or a message."
Hall was a father of two.
