A woman is in distress after police had picked up her son on an alleged murder charge last Friday. Judith Bood told us on Friday that the police had accused her son of driving the motorcycle that was involved in the murder of 15-year-old Dwayne Gabourel, but that he has an alibi. He was held for 48 hours, and went home yesterday, but his mother said that she's tired of the police harassing him. According to her, the police have been taking advantage of her son, Leslie Young, who is a minor, for years, always picking him up on what she calls trumped up charges. She added that out of all the times he has been detained, he has only been charged once, for a stolen motorcycle. Bood concludes there's an officer who seems to be after her son.

"I grow up my son as a gentleman and he is working, he has his job and every time my son doesn't go to work and he stays at home with us - my son would want something from the shop and I do not like to go to the shop because I don't like to walk about, so I would send him on his bike. Every time my son goes out there, police always stop him and harasses him. I get tired of it. They come to my house, beat down my door, say they are searching for gun and ammunition - nothing is in my house, because I don't deal with nothing illegal. They class Martin's as BLC. That is where we grew up and live. Not because my son goes and spend time with his family means that my son is gang affiliation. I get tired of them. They put up my son's picture on crime stoppers, because a police officer doesn't like him and every time he sees my son, he harasses my son, search and take him in. Every time he comes to pick up my son saying he is wanted for burglary, wanted for theft, wanted for conspiracy. I get tired of it. Every time they pick him up and they hold him for 48 hours - no charge come against him and they beat him, he comes home with bruises to his skin."

"The last time they came and pick up my son, they had him sleep in a cellblock handcuffed to the bars. When my baby come home, he had marks on his hands where he was handcuffed. Now all of a sudden, he went to court today and he came home back, relax a little bit and say he is going to buy food. As he went to buy food, the police pick him up again. They call me and wanted to see me at Queen Street Office, they say have him hold for murder. I am tired of this. I need the people who deals with kids, please see me, because I am showing my face now. I am tired of them and its one set of police. The last one told my son that he will kill him. I have video footage of the police every time they come at my house. I need somebody to help me, so the police can leave my child alone."
"Imagine when my son turns 18, I will can't represent him. He is not a gang member and I can stand up with all his photos while he is working at sea. He only has friends and not because he has friends that choose that type of life, that means you will classify him as one."
