And better police mobility will hopefully mean less violence in the streets, the kind of environment that might have saved 15-year-old Kassman Gill's life.
But that wasn't his reality, and now all his family can do is press for justice and for an enhancement of the evidence surrounding his death.
You'll remember that the day after the boy died, Kassman's father made a plea to the police department to give them the same advantage given to Dwayne Gabourel's family, closer examination and enhancement of the murder footage by the FBI.
Here's what the COMPOL said about that request, earlier today.
Cherisse Halsall
"Kassman Gill's father has asked for the FBI to enhance the footage for his son, is there any update on that?"
Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"I'm not too familiar with the second part in terms of releasing the footage, I will have to look at it from a legal standpoint to see if it is that we would be in a position to do so but certainly in terms of the first aspect of your question. We will put together the package of footage and we'll be asking the F.B.I to enhance and analyze the footage for us. So, that is being worked on."
Kassman Gill fought for his life for 52 agonizing days but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
