And that grandmother isn't the only one who's frustrated after the death of a loved one… Amada Masariega, the mother of Ezekiel Bermudez who was fatally hit in Concepcion, says she's not happy with the way her son's case is being handled. She told our colleagues at CTV3 that she had a hard time even locating her son's body, and once she had, she realized that he was labelled as a John Doe.

But on top of that, her son was knocked down by a cop who she claims had been drinking, and she feels that because of his position, he is being given special treatment. But all Masareiga wants is justice for her slain son.

Amada Masariega, Mother of Deceased

"No one gave me any information, I had to do my own investigation, I was calling the police and they have me a lot of ups and downs. I went to investigate in Orange Walk, Belize and the body wasn't anywhere. I called Nestor Cantun which is a police officer. When I got to know that my son's body was still in Corozal, we start to investigate more and got some news that my son wasn't identified by any relative, it ws label as John Doe so no autopsy had been made. Same night I identified the body, I went to do a police report. Now I'm shocked that I find this. Not even Chester Williams have spoken to me, the officer that knocked down my son is on duty, I am asking for justice."
