Later on in that conversation, the Commissioner and Jules had another disagreement about the strength of the evidence which they will attempt to prove the guilt of the 11 defendants who are charged in connection with that drug plane.

Here's how the Commissioner responded when challenged on the suggestion that they will eventually be acquitted:

Jules Vasquez
"Let's face it, sir. Mr. Nah Et al will all walk. You all have threadbare evidence linking them to a landing of a plane, linking them to possession of 763 kilos of cocaine, trafficking of 763 kilos."

Chester Williams
"So then, Mr. Vasquez, since you are saying that we have - how did you call it?"

Jules Vasquez
"Threadbare evidence."

Chester Williams
"On them, but yet, we charged them."

Jules Vasquez
"You charged them."

Chester Williams
"Hold on, let me finish."

Jules Vasquez
"Go ahead."

Chester Williams
"Doesn't that say to you then that this is something that we are taking seriously, and we want to ensure that the right thing is done, and we're not going to be the arbiter to decide their guilt or innocence? We're going to take the evidence we have, whether threadbare or otherwise, and put it before a court, and let the court judge their fate. If it's threadbare, we could have simply said we're going to charge. But, despite that, we still charge, and you still sit there in front of me to say that we are facilitating. We are - whatever other term you may use. You're comments are-."

Jules Vasquez
"You're closing the stable gate after the horse has bolted, sir."

Chester Williams
"No. No."
