And, another alleged killer was remanded today.

On Monday, we told you about the killing of 49-year-old Miguel Zaiden, a resident of Amara Avenue in Belize City. Police say that on Sunday at around 7:00, he was stabbed by a man who was part of a group of companions he was socializing with. Investigators have arrested the alleged killer.

He is 39-year-old Shawn Hertular, a construction worker from Belize City and former murder convict. He is now facing another murder charge, and was today arraigned in Magistrate's Court and then remanded to the Belize Central Prison - where he had been sentenced to 20 years in the early 2000's.

The allegation is that Hertular fatally stabbed Zaiden as he tried to drive away on his motorcycle. Zaiden had reportedly been circling the area for some time - which Hertular allegedly viewed as a provocation.
