And back now to a rumination about one of the stories in our first segment, which was the drug plane...
Belizean authorities will likely continue to be outmatched by the cartels - which are really huge transnationals that land drug planes with impunity throughout Belize, Guatemala and south-western Mexico. It's the kind of activity that's ripe for the conspiracy theories of all those self-proclaimed drug plane scientists and that includes attorney for four of the Bladen 11 Richard "Dickie" Bradley.
And during his Tuesday sit down with Cherisse Halsall he took the time to explain why he believes his clients are innocent, explaining that the small-time police officer holds very little value to the cartels.

"Given the circumstance of what your clients have been accused of and the fact that there's always been a rumor in Belize that police officers are involucrate in these drug plane landings, do you believe there's some kind of pre-prejudice against your clients?"

"Yeah, they can't get a fair trial right now, maybe later on when things settle and in hindsight, people look back so and so, but they could never if they were to go to court for a trial in front of a jury, it's off to prison. One because landing drug planes is considered a very very serious matter, two because how can police officers be engaged in that and let me tell you what the Cartel people tell me, and I'm using the word Cartel in quotation marks, do you really believe Ms. Cherisse Halsall that these intelligent people who the mighty United States of American cannot stop them getting drugs, listen you know what would happen this Friday if people on wall street and people in the entertainment industry can't get their cocaine, do you know what will happen not only will they be jumping through some 20, 30 something stories building but a lot of men won't be able to play in the NBA. You need your cocaine, this is a country that has grown up on Colombian cocaine so, listen they come in the belly of animals they come in the belly of humans, I can give you names and addresses of people who have been taking, they put the cocaine in a condom and they oil up the condom and they swallow a big bukut looking condom and they go to America and they then get it in, by all means. You think these intelligent people who are operating these, it's not one plane or two planes you know America has satellites over Colombia, over Venezuela, any plane that lifts up and looks like it's going north they watch that all the way and those people still bring planes here and land them. Do you think that those people who are responsible for multi-million dollars, each time a plane brings out cocaine, you think they're going to go to a police officer and say watch yah mein, I want you to help us land planes, do you think they're going to a police corporal and say listen I'll give you $250,000USD to help us land planes. No, they go way up the top."
