And while that family hopes Ramirez's killers are brought to justice, police have charged one person for the murder of 20-year-old Karina Andrews. 19-year-old Jahiem Lopez, a resident of Roaring Creek, was arrested today at 11:30am. He was cautioned by police and chose to remain silent. As we told you yesterday, Andrews had gone out with some friends to Stars Restaurant and Club in Belmopan on Saturday night. She left in a white van and while at a speed bump at the roundabout, a gunman inside an SUV opened fire on the van. Four persons were shot, including Andrews who succumbed.
Andrews was a mother of a one-year-old boy.
Police believe the gunman was targeting someone else in the vehicle - someone who had given, and then retracted her statement in a murder investigation.
