And a man is also dead after a traffic accident in the Cayo District. On Friday, around 7:30pm, 53-year-old Hernan William Guillen was driving from San Ignacio Town, heading home to Santa Teresita Village, when he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a concrete culvert on Bee Lane, in the Spanish Lookout community. Guillen was flung from the vehicle and died on the spot. His brother spoke to our colleagues at PlusTV, saying that the family had been waiting for him, but he never arrived.

"He left home yesterday morning heading to work in San Ignacio and he was coming back home around 7pm in the night. The accident happened around 8pm. We were at home waiting for him and the police from Spanish Lookout gave us the bad news. So we went and see what had happened. The ambulance took him to the hospital in Belmopan and we went to see him. He was a good person; he always was at his work and he was a good person and we are sad for the accident."
Guillen leaves behind three children.
