We also got a chance to ask the Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing who chairs that house committee about his portfolio - specifically the collapsed "revetment" wall that hems in the Phillip Goldson Highway from the Belize River at mile 7.

It collapsed months ago - and still hasn't been fixed - causing an active road hazard. We asked when it will be normalized and learned that it's no time soon:

The contract for the repair project was signed with M&M engineering Consultants on February 14th and will run for 25 weeks, which is just short of half a year. It is valued at 1.4 million dollars and the new revetment wall will be made of concrete.
